I needed/wanted 6 in-line gold tuners with vintage ivoroid keystone buttons for a Gibson Explorer build. These are the only ones I could find. They fit perfectly and look awesome on my new Explorer,,, but there is slack in the gears. I can only tune “up“, which is a normal procedure for me, but these cannot be nudged down. Sharp strings must be tuned flat before they can be turned up into correct tune however, once set they do hold firmly. Haven’t had string go flat, yet. They are also very stiff to turn under tension but I have not tried lubricating yet. Overall I am satisfied. They are exactly what I was looking for in looks but wish they were machined better in function. But what do you expect for $40. I would gladly pay more for higher quality.
