The finish on the black set looked nice once installed, and they feel better than the super-cheap generic tuners you usually find in this price range. Compared with basic non-locking Musiclily sets, these at least feel like a meaningful step up in usability. I put these on an Epiphone-style 3x3 headstock, and for the money, I think they’re a pretty solid upgrade. They’re still budget hardware, not premium Gotoh/Grover-level tuners. They work well, but the turning feel on mine wasn’t perfectly identical across all six keys not bad, just not ultra-smooth boutique quality. Also, double-check your screw hole layout and peg hole size before buying, because fitment matters way more than the listing makes it sound.

Love these tuning machines. The 18 to 1 ratio is an improvement over most stuck tuners. I like that locking tuners require less wraps of string, which should improve tuning stability in most cases. These look nice and are well made.Installation is easy.

I built my first ukulele several years ago. My wife gifted me the class and I spent almost two weeks in the basement of the old post office on the big island with no air conditioning slaving away. For that build, I used Grover tuners, a reputable brand.The Musiclily tuners are much more full-featured. First, they are locking. The knurled nut at the end unscrews to open the hole for the string to go through the tuner shaft and then they are screwed in to clamp the string firmly. This really speeds up the process for changing strings.The action is smooth and positive and I have left strings under tension to check and the tuning seems stable.The wide head gives lots of leverage so I expect they would do well even for instruments with wire-wound strings under heavy tension.For tuners with these features, they are a solid value hanging in the middle of the pack for pricing compared to tuning machines with similar features.They were well packaged and in a cardboard insert that kept them separated which meant no scratches from them rubbing against each other. They came with the tuners, barrel nuts, and washers. There was also an instruction sheet and a lagniappe of a guitar pick in the package as well.I am currently experimenting with putting them on a 3d-printed electric ukulele body and will see how they perform there.

I love these 100%, moment I used it I was like “yup, these are staying on”I have never had locking nuts for a guitar ever and these are a string change life saver.These were sized a bit different than the originals I had for my Epiphone LP100.The hole was 1.5mm off from center so I used wooden dowels to fill, drill and set the screw.I can’t take away for that as guitars all use different standards over the years and brands.Super easy to use, unscrew the bottom pull the string through, give it a little bit of slack, I do 2” past the hole then push in, tighten the lock but and start tuning.The finish is gorgeous on the tuners and the quality is top notch given the price.My guitar is old and crusty but I’ve had it for 14 years and these give it a little more life and function to it.
