Musiclily Pro 5-Way Pickup Selector Blade Switch Lever Switch for Strat Style Electric Guitar

This is a well-made standard Strat-style 5-way selector, that will work well as a replacement, or for building your own custom guitar. It is not a super switch that allows some more advanced/creative wiring options that are found in some guitars like PRS or Ibanez. I have used several Musiclily guitar parts before, and have been very pleased with the brand quality, consistency, and especially value. Multiple color tips are included for aesthetic purposes.

I've ordered several Musiclily replacement guitar parts so far, and have been happy with all of them. This 5-way switch was a drop-in replacement for my strat-style guitar and the quality seems as good or better than the OEM switch. The detents are very solid and have a satisfying feel. There's no discernible play. The switch comes in a small, reusable plastic case along with the two mounting screws and three switch tips in the most common colors (black, white, and cream). I really appreciated the photos on the listing, which not only give a wiring example for a standard strat 5 way switch, but show exactly which mechanical lugs are active in each switch position. Even expensive OEM parts typically don't come with this info and you must look it up separately.

Very good 5 way pickup selector switch for “Strat” style guitars. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the switch. I was expecting it to be one of those “cheapo” PCB type switches that are usually used in entry level guitars. This is actually a moving blade switch with soldering lugs along the top looking very much like the type used on American Strats. It shipped with all the necessary hardware for installation as well as one each of the three different styled tips. Also, came packaged in a nice plastic box that protected well in shipping. The switch has a good solid click feel when switching between pickups. Also, when switching it doesn’t emit any unwanted noise. This is a very good value switch at an affordable price.

I'm a fan of Musiclily products, which in my experience offer great value for the money. This 5-way switch is no exception. Out of the box the switch looks and feels robust; it's hefty, cleanly assembled, and even shipped in a decent plastic box (not just a bag) with a free pick. Even better, it was packed with three tips (black, white, and cream) so it will match your other hardware. Nice.The feel of this switch is solid; the steel plate is thick. The detents for each position are clear, you can easily feel them as you move the switch so you won't have to look to see which position it is in. The mounting ears are solid. The listing on Amazon includes a large, clear wiring diagram so if you aren't practiced in replacing 5-ways the info you'll need is all there.This is a solid value. I would not hesitate to use this in any build or as a replacement. Mine is going into a frankenstrat that I've assembled from my parts bin, but I wanted a new switch to ensure it was solid and reliable. This will do the trick.Recommended.

I have been using Musiclily in more of my guitar builds lately and I like how they have very good diagrams and implementation documents for their products. They are very clear and articulate the dimensions and parameters better than most others. I have not had any real problems when I am working with their premium parts. The prices are very good and the build quality is very good also. This switch I got will be used in a custom strat build. This switch is the pro version 5 way switch. It comes with 5 color tips of white, black and antique white. Each selection made on the switch is clear and clicks into place. This switch should fit in regular fenders and squier setups but you will need to check your setup with the dimensions provided. These switches are durable and made from good steel. A nice touch is they give you a guitar pick with every part you buy. The packaging is very good also so it is easy to store until you use the part.
