Musiclily Pro 5-String 10-Hole Contemporary J Bass Pickguard for Fender Mexican Jazz Bass, 3Ply/ 4Ply

Please see the before (black pickguard) and after (tort pickguard). I bought this because a reviewer said that it fit his Squier VM 5 Jazz bass just fine. That's what I have. What I forgot that I also have is DiMarzio UltraJazz 5 pickups instead of the original Seymour Duncans. The tech that installed the UJ's had to modify the original pickguard to make it fit. I had to modify this pickguard to make it fit the newer pickups. Once I did the holes matched up perfectly and the pickguard fit just fine against the control plate. I have no doubt that if my Squier VM5 Jazz bass was stock that this pickguard would have fit perfectly.

Got this purple one to put on my black MIM Fender Deluxe Active V five string bass. After reading the reviews I figured it was a crapshoot if it would indeed fit since folks had mentioned the holes didn��t line up, other parts didn��t fit right, bubbles in finish and other issues. Got it and put it right on with zero modifications needed. This the only pickguard I have ever gotten that needed absolutely NOTHING done to it. No sanding, filing, drilling, etc. Also, not sure if folks experiencing ��bubbles�� pulled off the clear protective wrap on it or not but mine came with two clear protective coverings over it. At this price I can only tell you how very satisfied I am with it. So yes��it DOES fit a made-in-Mexico Deluxe Active Jazz V bass. Maybe there are variations in different year basses or variations in these pickguard but can only state my experience with it which was a perfect fit.

I purchased this for a current model Mexican made Fender Jazz V bass. It was an exact fit, all the holes lined up perfectly, and it was identical in shape and size to the OEM one I took off. It looks great and took about two minutes to install, no modification necessary.

This fit my 2019 Squier Classic Vibe 70s Jazz V perfectly. At ~$15 this is a great buy. The only flaw is that the screw holes on mine were not countersunk deep enough. Obviously a machine setup issue. It's China so I'm not surprised. They are only slightly shallow but enough to cause the screws to sit slightly proud. The problem is easily fixed if you own a countersink bit and a drill. At this price and with fit being as good as it is, this is not something I consider a real issue. If something like that bothers you, and you're not a handy person, then it may be worth spending money on a custom fit piece. This works great otherwise.
