I just picked these up and I’m impressed. The fit and finish is great and, honestly, they look just like my Grovers!!I’ve used the name brand stuff before, but these seem to work just as good for a fraction of the cost. They are a full-sealed locking set with an 18:1 ratio, and the rotation is nice and smooth. Installation was easy and didn't take much effort at all. I really like the half-moon buttons and the nickel finish—it gives the guitar a great look.You can spend a ton of money on tuning machines, but why spend more on something when these do exactly what they're supposed to? They feel solid and the locking mechanism is on point. I didn't notice any "cheesy" design flaws here; they just work.All and all, this is a good product. If you're in the market for a set of locking tuners that won't break the bank but still offer super duper quality, then I recommend purchasing these. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again!

This is my second set of Musiclily Pro locking tuners. Several other reviewers have mentioned the Asian factory these come from and, honestly, I don't care if they were made in Jethro's garage, as long as they work. These do. I will say that I was concerned when I first tested them. I always have a lot of project builds in the que, so I amass a lot of guitar parts. When I order a set of tuners, and they come in, I go through every one of them, looking for any issues which will tell me which build, if any, they would be most appropriate for. These tuners didn't have any wobble in any of the posts, which is a pretty common thing to find in tuners, although it usually doesn't affect anything, by the time strings are on it. What I did find, on the very first tuner, then on two others, was that there was some play in the tuner key. There was a significant amount of movement in the key, before it engaged the post. A little of that is enough to keep me from installing a tuner on a guitar, especially with a high ratio tuner. I was hoping the screw just needed to be tightened, which, luckily, was all it needed. If you ever adjusted these, you know you don't want to over tighten that screw, so I made some small adjustments at first, and those didn't fix the play in the key, but I finally tightened in a bit more than I normally would, and it seems to be okay now, and the other 2 required adjustment as well. I debated whether or not I should take off a star for that, but I think I'll leave it at 5, for now, if it's something as simple as that, and as long as the build quality at large seems to be high, which it does. My overall impression was that they are well made, but they probably aren't going over every tuner to make sure they're adjusted just right before it goes out the door, which, at this price, I think is acceptable. I will say that my other set of these did not have that play on any of them. But, if a small, easy adjustment is all that is needed to end up with a very good set of tuners, that's ok at this price point, and I will say that these are definitely a good value. After the quick adjustment, these work well, the ratio is good, the locking mechanism works well, no burrs at the post hole and the finish is very nice. I am really a fan of this nickel finish.

I bought the Musiclily Pro locking tuners for my PRS. I already have 3 other sets from this brand on 3 other guitars, and they work awesome.The locks turn smoothly, and there is no slop or gear sticking in the pegs themselves.For example, I have a set on my Gretsch with a Bigsby arm that I use all the time, and boy, do these help to keep the guitar in tune.I hardly picked the guitar up as it was often out of tune, even just sitting idle for half an hour. These corrected that.I bought this set particularly for my PRS 245 and they dropped right in with no modifications.The locks are not bulky and they look great on the headstock!Musiclily Pro offer affordable options for guitar gear that compare to the big boys, and these do not disappoint!

I don’t have a lot of locking tuners in my collection yet, but I wanted to give these a try since they are the Grover style and I was looking to replace the stock Grovers on a J-45 style guitar. One thing I noticed immediately is that these have the "KD" stamp on the back. I'm pretty sure that stands for Jin-Ho, which is a South Korean manufacturer known for making high-quality parts for some of the big names.The functionality of these tuners is top-notch. They feel extremely solid in both the 18:1 tuning gear movement and the locking mechanism itself. They have a nice weight to them, and the nickel finish is extremely well polished, giving them a high-end look. The ease of installation was perfect since they fit the modern 10mm peg holes without any drama, making it a direct swap for my existing hardware.Overall, the durability and build of these tuners are excellent quality, comparable to much higher-priced brands. If you're looking for better tuning stability and faster string changes without the "big brand" markup, these are a fantastic choice. They keep my J-45 in tune perfectly and feel like they’ll last a lifetime.

As one reviewer accurately mentioned, these are indeed the high quality JinHo Pro tuners. Musiclily makes these available in a variety of configurations. This set will be installed on my Epiphone '56 reissue Goldtop Les Paul that I am resurrecting. I already have these otherwise identical Musiclily tuners (but made for PRS SE) on 3 of my upscale SE models to replace the lower quality PRS SE non-locking tuners. These are as perfect as I could ask for. I think the overall quality is amazing even at twice the price. They are as smooth as can be and the 18:1 ratio that I have grown accustomed to from the early Grover days allows for very precise tuning. In case you don’t know, the idea of the locking tuner (for me anyway) is that you can lock your string to the tuner without have to have several winds of string holding it in place. Otherwise all of that string wrapped around the tuner (and itself) will eventually slip and pop a little bit here and there, especially the wound strings, and usually at the worst possible moment.My locking tuners do not even have one full winding of string around them intentionally so as to minimize the potential for slippage. I have been doing this for over 50+ years and in my experience I really don’t see any need for “better” tuners than these. If you're old, rich and bored then have at it. But if you’re young (and/or smart), save your money. I recommend these tuners wholeheartedly.
