Musiclily Basic Steel 4 Holes JB Control Plate for Jazz Bass Style Bass

I ordered two of these. The first one arrived completely blank—no holes at all, just a plain control plate. To make matters worse, both plates looked like they had been tied to a truck and dragged down a gravel road. They’re covered in scratches and gashes, making them entirely unsuitable for any kind of presentable use. At first, I thought they had a clear protective film over them—surely they wouldn’t come from the manufacturer like this, right? But no, there’s no protective film at all.I should have known better. I’ll be sending these back and sticking with OEM parts.

I can't make general statements about various models, but this matches the Squier 60s JB I owned, not the Vintera 60's JB.If you have a Vintera (first edition, at least) DO NOT BUY THIS PLATE! Not only do you have to bore the pot holes out, which I did, the plate won't line up with the holes in the body because the Vintera pots are too big and the one near the neck pickup hits the edge of the control cavity before the screw holes line up. Looks like I'll be trying my Squier pot on that pickup or switching back to the stock plate.

If you want to manually widen them go ahead. I returned mine and went back to stock.Good idea, not the best execution. Shame.

I was building a drop-in preamp for my Jazz bass with the new pots and other components mounted on the small control panel. This came quickly, fitted exactly where the Fender panel did, and it looks good to me.
