Musiclily Pro 8-Hole Guitar Pickguard for Squier Sonic Esquire H Electric Guitar

This pickguard for a Telecaster with bridge pickup only (no next pickup) is overall very nice. The vintage tortoise pattern is nice, and the quality in the cut and layers are good. The holes are drilled correctly and lines up perfectly. The pickguard comes with a thin layer of protective film in both the front and back. Be sure to remove them before installation. The pickguard is very thick and shows the 4 ply nicely on the beveled cut sides. It should make a nice little mod to spruce up your guitar!

Nice pickguard. Bevels are properly cut with no wavering as you sometimes see even on factory pickguards. Layers look good and even.Thickness measures .081" / 2.05 mm , which just a tiny bit shy of the 2.2mm spec. But it's feels solid.Color matches photos in listing. This one is "cream"... which has a lot of interpretations in guitar plastics, but you will get what the listing shows in its photo. It's accurate.I can't comment on fit to the specified guitar as I am using it on a non-standard instrument.

This is a very nice translucent pickguard for a Tele.It works perfectly on the un-drilled style bodies I am working with.This is a very well made pickguard and it will look great on the right guitar. Painting on the backside of this transparent pickguard would look great too.Obviously if you are working with a predrilled body or as a replacement for an existing guitar you will need to be sure the mounting holes are the right layout for your specific guitar. On new builds - these work great! Although you could drill holes in a guitar to make any pickguard work - it is obviously better to order a pickguard with holes that match the layout of the existing holes.

Musiclily offers some very nice and very reasonably priced pickguards for Fender guitars. This particular one fits The Squier Sonic Esquire, but could certainly be used in a custom build, or to convert a Tele-style guitar into an Esquire, which is basically a single-pickup (bridge) Tele. It's a three-ply guard, and the black pearl looks beautiful. As with most after-market guards, there is protective plastic film on its face; you need to peel that off upon installation. It also comes with chrome mounting screws and a Musiclily pick. I think black screws would look better on this guard, and they are readily available. These are offered in a number of colors, and will dress up your Squier for a very friendly price.

These are actually very nice quality pickguards, and I think interchangeable with a fender US model. Great way to give your Esquire a new look for a very low price!
