Wilkinson M Series Ceramic Mini Humbuckers Electric Guitar Neck and Bridge Pickups Set for LP Fire-bird

These are a good deal - they sound good and were easy to install. The only thing I wish they included was the pickup rings (or an option to order them), because to get matching chrome pickup rings at a decent price I ended up having to order a cheaper set of these same type of mini humbuckers which included the PU rings, and used them for this set. So in the end, I found the pickup rings I wanted, but it was kind of wasteful. As to these Wilkinson pickups, they sound pretty good, I have never had a guitar with these Gibson Firebird type mini humbuckers before, but having played on full-size PAF type humbuckers as well as single-coil Strat pickups, I found these sounded somewhere inbetween the two which was what I expected and wanted. I would recommend these.

For the price they sound good. Pleasantly surprised.

These replaced a set of muddy Epiphone mini humbuckers in my Riviera. Yes, they are WAY brighter, but im finding them a little thin and not very balanced, especially in the mid and low range. I'm generally a tele guy so I love clear and bright, but only if smooth and well-balanced. These are a bit too thin and harsh for me. I generally like what Wilkinson does, but I am somewhat disappointed in these pickups.

Installed these into an older Epiphone SG and really impressed with the quality of these. Blown away by how good considering the low price.Just to note as it's note obvious from the wiring diagram and this may be helpful for anyone like myself changing pickups for the first time.The pickups have 4 wires as they can be wired in series or in parallel.If you want the humbucker at full power you only need to solder two wires into your setup, and the two wires on the diagram already joined together just insulate them off and no need to solder to any points.

I put these in the neck position in three of my guitars. It makes for a really nice neck pickup. I haven’t tried them in the bridge position yet but so far the neck it sounds pretty good. They are out of phase with the Seymour Duncan pickups I put in the bridge but I kind of like it. You can always change the wires around which I tried but I ended up preferring them out of phase for a lo-fi funk sound when combined with a Duncan bridge pickup. It’s a pretty good pickup for some jazz tones in the neck and if you have enough drive it can get some good blues tones as well. The neck and bridge models of these pickups are the same dc resistance so keep that in mind if you use both in the same guitar. You’ll probably want to lower the neck pickup a bit more than the bridge pickup.
