Great sounding middle of the road lows and high

I had an Ibanez Mikro that had all the personality of a 2010 Toyota Camry. It was well build and functional, but that was about it. I dropped these in (with a bit of modification to the pick-guard) and I have to say, value-for-money it's better than I could have done getting a different guitar. The range of tone, the looks, these pickups made an incredible difference that took a guitar I literally couldn't sell at 30% of my cost to one that is on my list of keepers.

Not Really Much Of An Upgrade From Stock Gretsch Black Top Filtertrons ,,, They Look The Part, However The Bridge Pickup Wires Are Too Short To Reach The Volume Control, And More Disappointing, Is The Fact That Several Of The Pole Piece Screws Came "Stripped" And While They Turn, Their Height Doesn't Change . While They Have A Decent Tone ,, They're Not Really An Upgrade ,,, And Certain;y Not Worth The Effort To Change Them

I replaced a pair of ceramic PAF's on my Ibanez Les Paul style guitar with these pickups and they are definitely an improvement. I find they have really good clarity on clean and a nice crunch with gain. It's just what I was hoping for from Filtertron style pickups. They add a different sound palette from my other guitars.

I purchased just a neck pickup because I already had a Seymour Duncan Psyclone for the bright position. I put it in a Jay Turser LP Copy. As far as sound goes, it's certainly on par with the Seymour Duncan. I'm sure the bridge pickup sounds just as good.However, out is not the same size as a standard humbucker as you can see from my photo. It's slightly wider and barely fit in the pickup ring, causing a slight bulge. It's also skinnier than a standard humbucker and looks a little awkward with the extra space around the ring.Overall, it's a great sounding pickup and for the price I can't really complain.
