These ferrules fit perfectly into a 6.3mm hole, measured using calipers. The ferrules measured 6.5mm in diameter so enough metal meat to hold them in place against the wooden hole. To install, place the ferrule bottom into the hole, then place a small piece of wood over the ferrule and tap on the wood with a hammer until ferrule is in place. The wood will protect the finish of the ferrule from the impact of the hammer.

Vert nice product but were too large for my particular guitar.

I think my guitar’s string through holes are just larger than standard ferrules would fit, but these seem nice and sturdy. I would just recommend verifying the size of your guitar’s string through holes.
