I put this in my Squier CV 60s strat and it was a very nice improvement over the stock pickup.

Got this AlNiCo slugs loaded single coil a few days ago to replace a stock ceramic bar magnet that came in a cheap strat knock-off. The ceramic was low output and had muted/rolled off sounding highs with a bit of muddieness on the low end. This Wilkinson M Series pickup definitely boosted output (from 5k to about 6.5k comparatively) and the tone really cleaned up: nice sparkle to the highs without sounding shrill or brittle with some classic strat honk. It breaks up nicely and dynamically in a low gain / blues setting and is really much more responsive than the ceramic it replaced. Totally worth it IMO and I already ordered the neck and middle versions to swap for the other two ceramics in the guitar. Instant tone upgrade! Ideal for your Squier or similar sub-brand import. Recommended.

I run this in the bridge position with a Texas special in the neck and a Mexican strat middle. This pickup sounds so clear and cuts through the mix with lots of dynamics but it’s so quiet compared to the other pickups. It’s not out of phase or anything but it’s weaker in output in comparison to my ceramic middle and my alnico 5 neck, just something to consider. In the end I’m keeping it till I can afford a proper single since it’s a beautiful tone.

I upgraded an old Harmony Jr Strat for my Great Niece who just turned 5 and this will be her Christmas present only because I didn't finish in time for her June BDay. I still have to do the final sanding and buffing although I have tested the set and I'm very happy with the sound. The addition of the tone control really makes a big difference to the sound. I can get a fat bluesy sound to a poppy surfer sound using the tone control and that is a big surprise which I'm happy with

Absolutely love. Bargain price, great quality sound.... not sure whether it's real wilk. Or licensed, or chinese copy... but it sounds great, it multimeter reads right where it says it is... and it sounds lovely, very very low noise (none when installed correctly)... love the alnico, and love the look.... thanks guys!!!
