This is a really great humbucker pickup! Excellent in any guitar, especially for Strat-style guitars. No problems or issues - this is a quality pickup that will provide excellent fidelity and service. Recommended!

I installed this pickup in a Squier Sonic Bronco project bass. It was the perfect upgrade. I installed 300k pots with it and it sounds amazing. The photo is a before and after.

Given that the pickup measures about 9k, the pickup does have a bit of a PAF characteristic. However, it does sound a bit harsh especially around the 1k which makes it not quite that exciting to listen to. I did have to tweak my amp a lot to make this pickup sound fairly okay. My guess is that this pick up is not going to sound good in most types of guitar wood. I had this on an alder boby with maple neck guitar and it's just okay. I will have to try it on different guitars and see if there's a wood combo that works well with this pickup. For now, this pick up is just okay.

This is a good option for a mild humbucker in a single coil space - I get a lot of cheap forgotten strat-style guitars in various states of disrepair and piece them together into playable guitars, these pickups are a decent inexpensive option when I need to replace the pickups but don't want to spend a lot. Fits most openings I've tried them in. Definitely hotter than most factory ceramic single coils, but this one is just a bit of bite. Overall a good option for a budget build.

I used this to upgrade an old strat-style guitar that had some pretty crappy single coils in it. I've purchased other Musiclily products before and I've never been disappointed. It compares very nicely with a an old name brand hot rail that I have in another strat. It's quiet and it really nicely drives either my old tube amp or a modeling pedal that I have. I highly recommend if you're looking for a good humbucker that fits in place of a single coil.
