These have a brassy/copper color when you sand off some of the finish leading me to believe that they are nickel silver plated only. Also, the color really looks more chrome than nickel and doesn��t quite match the hardware on the guitar. The screw holes were mostly aligned but the outer pieces were a little off. I would recommend spending a bit more from a reputable brand.

I don��t know my b hole from my elbow when it comes to metallurgy but this thing sure is shinier and better looking the slightly cheaper chrome covers I recently put on a different guitars. I��ll take it.

I��ll start off by saying that if you want a cheap pick up cover and you don��t care how it your tone is affected, this product is probably fine, but I paid extra for this particular one because it claimed to be nickel silver alloy which is generally more transparent and suffers less from eddy currents. I grinded a little bit of the cover so that I could get a solder joint to the pick up base only to discover it is copper internally. Nowhere in the description doesn��t mention being plated copper so it gets one star on the grounds of being false advertising.
