I worked on a friend's guitar that never had a Floyd Rose type trem before. The springs in his Ibanez were not strong enough, so I found these and installed them. Strong and great value for the money.
These do what they are supposed to. I had 5 normal springs and got the hard springs, went to 3 springs with a tightening of the claw. Pricey for springs but they really are stiffer than the standard.
I use these on an Ibanez with a Floyd Rose trem or the zero trem whatever Ibanez calls it- they are Strong, very, very, very strong. I like that, but if you're not looking for strong springs that will keep your guitar in tune regardless of the size of the block. Generally days are what you want. Recommended that you have a larger than normal block. Ideally you want something heavy in there because I mean this is like it makes your whole trim system feel industrial. Let's just put it like that. No matter how tight you put those screws in the back, it's going to feel it's going to be hard to move the trim, but it also keeps your tuning stable. So I mean there's an upside. A huge upside.
These were perfect for my new build, nice and stiff and gold.
This might sound crazy, but these springs? They do spring things. I slapped 3 of them in the belly of my Strandberg Boden Prog because its stock springs had stiffened up and were taking their sweet time returning to zero. You'll never guess what happened next... Yeah, they did exactly what you want em to. They returned to zero, quickly and without any annoying noise or bad behavior. Solid product at a great price.
