Worked well with the installation of my new P90 pickups. Since I had some leftover I also used them to dampen the tremolo springs in the cavity.

They are perfect for purpose intended to lift Pickups to proper distance from the strings.

WAYYYYY too thick. I stripped out my pickup screw mounting holes trying to install a pickup with this foam on the back. They are about half again as thick as they should be, and that creates too much tension/up force for the little screws to hold in the wood. Now I have to do the toothpick trick to all 4 of my screw holes to add wood to them so I can try again with different foam. Complete waste of time and money. Buy the ones you can get on eBay that have the springs embedded in them instead. They work WAY better.

Musiclily Pro 80x18x15mm Bass Pickup Height Foam Self-Adhesive EVA Foam Anti-Vibration Foam for Jazz Bass Pickup, Black (Set of 10) will work as a tempory fix. The reason is this type of foam is stiff but will compress for the initial pickup height. however, the foam does not decompress very well like the rubber or other simular materials. If you need to experiment with different pickup heights you will eventually need a new piece since the foam does not decompress to the original height very well and not at all if increased height adjustments are needed down the road. You will also see any indents etc. from the pickups or wires depending on the routing . After adjustment the pressure from the mounting screws continue downward force and the foam will eventually adjust down making the pickups loose in the cavity and a new piece will be needed to adjust to the correct pickup height. Note this will not take long to happen which is why I am includng such details. I like the size and packaging but you will need better foam material to start.
