I had a hard time sourcing a 3-way blade for an import to put into my 94 Jackson Dinky. I could not find them locally and even the first one I bought from Amazon did not fit.Pins 2+3, 4+5, and 6+7 are jumpered together. This is because apparently most guitars use pins 2+3 as one input, 4+5 as the output, and 6+7 as the other input. My Jackson's factory wiring had pins 1+2+7+8 jumpered together and used pin 8 as the output, and pin 4 as one input and 5 as the other input. It took some convincing to assure me that these were equivalent. However I wanted to keep the wiring as "stock" as possible so I cut the jumpers and wired it like it was from the factory. Works great.One difference from the factory part is that this switch is enclosed, so I took the opportunity to ground the housing also. However, that enclosure will be visible from the front of the guitar through the slot for the switch. I wish I would have spent a few minutes to paint the top of the housing black so that it was less obvious, but I didn't realize this until I was all done.
