This is a great product. I didn't even know I could buy this, because I so needed it.

A must have for Floyd Rose users. I dont know why Guitar companies dont use these on their guitars they are totally awesome. They prevent the studs from bending the wood at a angle after prolonged use of the trem. Just as the quest for a perfect trem continues this adds to the evolution of the Floyd Rose bridge.

Virtually all Floyd Rose tremolos have ~74mm mounting stud spacing for the inserts. This one is 74mm center-to-center even though the dimensions in the item picture shows 75mm. Glad I took the gamble ordering this because otherwise I would have passed on it based on the stated dimensions.The support bracket itself is not steel, but it's beefy enough to do the job of supporting the inserts in softer woods if the insert holes are snug.Update: Do not use the included wood screws to secure the bracket to the guitar body. They are a soft zinc alloy and will break off when being installed even with the correct size pilot hole. Go to your local big box store and get comparable steel wood screws instead.

Musiclily makes great stuff. This is a really cool product for guitar making. Takes out some of the work of having to measure where the posts should be for your Floyd. Screws are fine thread good quality stuff.
