As brittle block of original tremolo on Hohner ST59 broke, I was looking for block replacement. Not sure about dimensions I rather tried whole tremolo, after multiple repeated measurements of mine. The cheaper version of this tremolo (with short block) comes with optically the same kind and material of block as fitted in the Hohner, so I was worried about it, specifically about thread of whammy bar and its weak surrounding area. Also Hohner tremolo block didn’t have proper movement of the block inside of the hole, allowing only limited arm diving. This block is much more sturdier and position in the hole is exact as it should be while fitted on original two posts, which are a bit different - smaller thread and smaller shafts. To fit the supplied posts would possibly require to increase the diameter of the holes, and I didn’t go so far as the fit seems to be right. For quite low action, the standard 8-10mm saddle screws are exposed quite a lot (the silver ones are new, still 8mm), so next step is to go for all 6mm lengts. It seems that the new trem improved the resonance of the guitar. The strings at the back are new.Tremolo seems to be also more stable, so I am happy with the purchase, it is really good quality product. Recommended!
