I dont know why this is getting such bad reviews could be a quality control issue and I just got lucky. I bought this for my 2014 Gibson LPJ. The neck pickup cutout is tight and pretty much perfect. I did not modify ANYTHING. The bridge cutout is a little large by comparison BUT this is where I am NOT going to knock this down in ratings. I thought about a 4 star but then thought long and hard about it. It doesnt deserve losing a star. Why?? Glad you asked. Its cheap!! Compare to all parts brand or Gibson Brand... this is $6 compared to what $20-$40 depending on source. Yeah where this lacks it makes up for in price. The edge bevel is consistent and perfect. If i had one disappointment it would be that it doesnt come with screws, but again if youre buying this to replace to change color then well you have screws and hardware already, if youre building and testing your luthier skills you have spare screws anyways, if youre adding it to a guitar that did NOT previously have holes or screws (thats what i did) then plan ahead and get some screws for $.10. I took the photos of it to show before and after and how tight/loose the fit was. Overall I am super pleased with this plate and how it came out. 5star for value. If you like spending money there are others out there but in the end you should be just as content with this.

Seems well made, has no hardware with it. Had no clear plastic film over the top to protect it. Did not fit my 2024 Gibson Les Paul Studio with modifying it around the front pickup . Looks nice on my guitar just wasn��t happy to have to file on it to fit.

I bought Musiclilly Humbucker rings and pic guard hoping for a match between the colors and to match the banding on the guitar. The guitar banding on the neck and body do not match in color so my expectations are low. The color between the pic guard and rings is not perfect but will do. Musiclily cream knobs seem to go well with these also.The rings did not drop in. The humbuckers fit inside of it okay but the screw holes are not exact. Rather than modify the rings I filled the old holes with toothpick and glue then positioned the PU under the strings and re drilled the mounting holes. Right under the strings hurray.The pic guard itself needed filing to get it to fit right. The holes on it were okay but the spacing around the Musiclily PU ring was too tight. Right they couldn't fit it so it fit on their own Musiclily PU whos dimensions they control; LOL! I spent more time getting the pic guard to sit right than redrilling all the holes for the PU ring.Next are some cream speed knobs.

This fit beautifully and looks even better than the picture. It will be installed on my 'Honey Burst' Gibson Les Paul Standard. I realize it won't make my guitar sound better :( But, I will enjoy the look of the guard as I play. A bit more exciting than cream. (Who knows, maybe it will inspire a higher level of creativity)

Goes very well with chrome and black Les Paul Custom. Fits perfectly (US made guitars - can't vouch for Epi or others). Thick material as well. Would buy again for sure. Musiclily seems to make good stuff. Bought a tail stop bar and knobs from them as well.
