I make Telecasters from scratch with 1952 skunk stripe necks and unusual woods for the body like walnut, pine and willow. The USA made CRL switches are the nicest but I have some Japanese style in my parts drawers as well.In the past I have trouble with cheap top hat knobs not fitting properly. These nice knobs from Musiclily fit well. I recently acquired a pair of Musiclily Strat type knobs and they had absolutely perfect fit. The assymetrical cross type slots are clever in that one slot fits USA type and the 90 degree slot fits Asian style. The Strat knobs were utterly perfect, whereas these Tele knobs are good but not so perfect. The USA slot was a tiny bit looser than I would like and the Asian slot was quite a struggle to push on because it is slightly too tight. I will happily use them but there is a chance of the USA slot getting loose over time. The cosmetics and overall finish are faultless.
