I built a partscaster tele, wasn’t my first choice of components so I had honest,preconceived, notions. Once I installed and wired them together, I was actually really impressed with the sound, clarity, and response. Totally recommend to upgrade lower quality guitars as well as full blown tele projects.

This set of pick ups sounds great as a replacement set for my tele. However, they are pretty noisy and I had to add additional shielding in the guitar cavity to combat some hum. While it didn’t get rid of all the hum, it does make it quieter in some instances especially when I’m recording at home. Another thing I would highly suggest is to replace all the wires with better and thicker gauge hook-up wires. I find that the wires used in this kit feels pretty thin and could break off easily if handled too rough during the installation process. However, the set is pretty much ready to go without needing to upgrade the wires. Just connect it to an output jack and connect the grounds and you’re good to go. If you’re looking for a good sounding tele set, this is not a bad one to get. Though, I find that the price is a bit too high for something that is not really an upgrade from what you may find in import guitars. You may be better off getting all the parts separately especially if you can find them all at a good deal. If not, this is not a bad set to get for your guitar.

So this tele loaded pickguard and control plate a really fantastic. The overall quality, feel, and fit and finish are top notch!Installation is very easy. The majority of the soldering joints have been finished for you and are done very nicely. The potentiometers are full and have a very nice smooth sweep to them. Pick Guard holes lineup for the most parts however, this will be the majority of the case, as everyone has a slight variation on where they drill holes. When installing the screws, I would suggest going on far opposite sides and going around from there. I would also suggest not screwing and securing them all the way down until you have everyone started, and then at that point, you can start securing them flush.The overall quality these are really nice and warm. From my liking, I would really like them to have a little more output mainly the bridge speaking however with an overdrive pedal, these can be quite versatile.I feel that this is priced pretty accurately. The workmen shift and quality of all the materials are really superb and this would definitely be perfect for a more top-tier DIY project or even upgrading an existing tele!Very pleased I would absolutely recommend.

Nice wired set for a Telecaster style guitar build Bridge which comes with pick guard and pickups and prewired fully loaded control plate. I have not installed this yet because I am preparing the Telecaster body for holes to begin the assembly once it is stained and polyurethaned . I can tell you that the pickguard and neck pickup align perfectly with the neck pocket and the bridge pickup aligns well. The disappointment is with the pickups, the Bridge is 6.54K ohms and Neck is only 5.42K ohms, I was hoping they would be hotter. There is no 1/4 inch jack plate supplied so you need to buy one separately. The prewired control plate comes with full size A250K Ohm pots and a .022uf metal film capacitor and a treble bleed added on the volume potentiometer (a treble bleed is a resister wired between a capacitors wires, the capacitor here is a tantalum B102K 1KV with a 23K resistor) Everything looks good, especially the 3 ply pickguard and the whole circuitry is match for the best sound. This kit saves you the work of matching components which makes it a great deal.
