A couple of years ago I was given a packet wrapped in tin foil and told it was the pick up my customer wanted me to fit to his guitar along with a few other jobs, straight away, in my mind I knew it would be awful,I mean what reputable company wraps in foil, anyway he was adamant that it was fitted,I very nearly told him to take it somewhere else as I wasn't happy putting my name to this job, long story short I did all the work and a setup and as usual went to play a few chords etc to bed and stretch the strings,to say I was shocked by the tones coming from this piece of **** pick up would be an understatement,I've since gone on to recommend other customers to save a lot of money and let me fit what I think they needed, yes I used Musiclily pickups, when they came to pick they're guitars up they all were astounded at the low price I had charged them,I'll admit I was a parts snob but not anymore,no they haven't got that subtle finesse of £200 pickups but unless you have bat hearing you'd be hard pressed to notice it in a blind test,I know because I've tried it with semi pro and professional guitarists, try them you'll be surprised
