    You should use a strap retainer along with this end peg if you need to attach a guitar strap.

    Replaced the original end pin (which was made of plastic) on my Martin accoustic. Aside from fitting perfectly, the new pin is an aesthetic match for the ebony fretboard on my Martin HD-28. same color of ebony and shell.
