Ordered to replace speed knobs on a Yamaha semi acoustic on which the gold hardware had faded to a nickel type colour. These look great and a close match. Solid feeling and the little markers are a bonus over plain unmarked knobs. Make sure you get the right spline fitting for your pot. These are for 18 spline and just push on

I wanted knobs that had a more substantial feel to them. Playing Telecasters conditioned me to barrel knobs, no skirts or numbers needed. I like the feel of these knobs. Yes, they have a little indent on top. If you are so inclined you could put a drop of paint there or glue a tiny jewel. I'll leave mine plain. These knobs are for coarse knurls. Check your guitar for coarse or fine knurls before ordering. I thought about the gold colored knobs, but I wasn't sure how they would match the brushed gold pickguard. The nickel finish reflects the pickguard so they take on a golden color. It's a small visual change, but I think it makes a difference. Get these and see what it does for your guitar.
