Good for an inexpensive pickup.Combined this with an inexpensive preamp and it sounds REALLY good. The preamp is doing most of the work, but the pickup is pretty solid quality. I hooked it up to just the volume pot to just see what it would sound like alone and it does ok. It definitely needs the tone pot to cut down on higher frequency string noise. Wiring is good and decently prepped. Not sure if it's standard for the product, but mine shipped with 3 different cushion options: it came with springs, rubber tubing, and foam pad. I initially wanted to do the foam pad, but the rubber tubing turned out to be the best. Springs were my last option, but they came nonetheless.
