Frankly, I have no clue how this pick-up sounds. The screws provided would fit. I had to use my old screws and I had to force them in. As a result, I couldn't get the pick-up at the proper height.If you are going to sell pick-ups, provide us with decent screws for Pete's sake. It is not too much to ask!

I'm a metalhead who's a bit tone ocd in a way. Most "high output" pickups on amazon in this price point aren't all that high output. Maybe for rock or grunge, or they're noisy or sound like crap. This honestly doesn't sound all that off from a Duncan and I can say I'm honestly pretty impressed. Sounded great in E standard and changed to C and worked just as good as my Duncans! And this is after I've purchased many budget pickups I never bothered to review.Update: Even better if you switch the alnico 5 with a 0.2 thick ceramic which most high output Seymour Duncans use.

The pickup works well and is very easy to install (albeit I didn't use a coil-split pot). I works fine under a lot of gain and distortion, and it seems to be wax potted, showing no microphonic feedback. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because it's remarkably bright (trebly) and I prefer darker bridge pickups. It sounds great for leads, though.

These are phenominal, very hot humbuckers. They are actually Artec ��Hot Platinum�� pickups. I��ve purchased a few white sets from another site. I��m a huge fan of Artec pickups- their pickups are used in many mid-level name brand guitars. These pickuoo pop s are powerful and very clear/articulate. Very affordable- you get way more for your $ with these pickups. Well-packaged and comes with a wire color code sheet. Artec pickups always have quite long lead wires so I rarely need to use a jumper wire while installing them. I also think they look cool with 2 rows of adjustable magnet slugs.
