Artec MVBA4 Alnico 5 Überzogener Humbucker Hals-Pickup 8.6K für LP oder EPI-Stil 4-Saiten-Elektrobass

I refurbed an old Atlas bass for a client's aging father. In addition to routing the body for a better neck, adding new tuners, a modern high mass bridge and doing a complete rewire, it needed new pickups. These worked out great and even though they're kind of a bottom of the barrel product, they sounded great!

Super impressed! Wasn't expecting much for the price, but I was pleasantly surprised. These pickups look great, have zero hum and sound great in my 60's Teisco. Providing great low end with no buzz, I'd buy these again in a heartbeat!

Sounds great -- got it worked in on the neck position of a Glarry mod P/J. The J pup is kicked out to 108 degrees to resolve magnetic polarity.

For those looking, yes this is a direct drop in on the Gretsch G2220 Jet 2 bass. I, for one, was not a fan of the single coils in that bass and I immediately took measurements and order these mini humbuckers. These are better, but really need an EQ to get the sound just right (as is often the case).

Purchased this for a project bass, an Epiphone EB-0. I routed a pocket for this pickup, easily wired it up like Flea's signature Jazz Bass with concentric controls and have had nothing but good sounds and compliments. It works well with the Artec EBC4 replacement sidewinder-style pickup.
